Admission

The Preschool admits children from the age of 2 ½ years until kindergarten entry, year round.

We are currently taking registrations for the 2011-2012 school year.

The first day of Preschool will be Wednesday, September 7.

September to June

During the school year morning classes operate Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 and 11:30 am and afternoon classes between 12:15 and 2:45pm.

Parents may make special arrangements with the administrator for an earlier drop-off time.

Registration

A registration form and non-refundable $25 registration fee must be submitted to secure all new registrations to the Preschool. 

We strongly encourage all interested families and caregivers to call to arrange a personal tour which will allow you to see the facility, meet our warm and professional staff and receive a Parent's Handbook prior to registration.

Monthly Calendar

The monthly calendar highlights general themes and special activities (including birthday celebrations!) in the Preschool, during the regular school year.  Teaching topics and directions which emerge naturally during classes will not usually be listed here. For information regarding our Summerfun! VBS program please go the the Summer Programs link. 

A variety of church programs and activities which may be of interest to Preschool families are listed in red. For more information regarding church programs you may click on the links provided or call the church office.

Preschool families may also submit information regarding events they think might be of interest to our Preschool community. These events will appear in blue.

February 2012   Happy Hearts Month!

  • Jan 30-Feb 3: The letter 'H': health, hospitals, hearts, hoops. Bible story: 'Smart Solomon' (1 Kings3:1-15)
  • Jan 31 and every Tuesday:  'The Beat' A drop-in fun, sports, crafts and games centre for kids aged 6 and up. Age-appropriate Bible study classes available. Free.
  • Feb 1 and every Wednesday: Ladies quilting for missions; sewing room.
  • Feb 1and every Wednesday: Senior's Carpet bowling in the gym. 1-3pm. 
  • Feb 3 and every Friday- 'Rhythem';  youth group (ages 13-16) Supervised sports, games, activities and food. 7-9:30pm. Free.
  • Feb 6-10  The letter 'I'; ice, igloo; hot and cold; colors: pink, purple and red.Bible Story:'Daniel Prays' (Daniel 6).
  • Feb 13-17: The letter 'J'; jungle, jobs, jump, jiggle, joy. Bible Story:'Brave Queen Esther; (Esther) 
  • Feb 20:  Happy Birthday Gabriella!
  • Feb 22:  Happy Birthday Blake! 
  • Feb 20-23 The letter 'k'; kings, keys, kangaroos. Bible Story:'God Answers Jonah' (Jonah 1-3)
  • Feb 23:   South Vancouver Island Family Child Care Association: This month's workshop: 'Let's Play: Number Sense in Childhood' Presenter: Dr. Werner Liedtke. 7:15-9pm in the diningroom.  All welcome.  Non-members $10 at the door.
  • Feb 25: Happy Birthday Adam! 
  • Feb 27-Mar 1 The letter 'l'. Lions, lambs, little, lines. Bible Story:'Where's Jesus?' (Luke 2:41-52)
